Yerba Mate Cup Decorative Ring

Embossed zinc alloy decorative ring fitted on a yerba mate cup, antique silver plated

Material: Zinc Alloy Die Casting

Application: Drinkware & Gifts

Secondary Process: Deburring, Polishing

Surface Treatment: Electroplating

Lead Time: 15-25 days

Product Advantages: 1. Four-slide tooling with a special engraving process makes the pattern come alive — a ring needs texture on all four sides, which a standard two-plate die cannot deliver. Slider positions and the parting line are laid out along the pattern, with the parting line kept in a shadow where it does not show. 2. Antique silver plating, elegant and vintage — the depth of the antique effect is confirmed against a sample and held to the same tone batch after batch. It strongly affects perceived quality, so approve the sample first; one step darker or lighter changes the whole look. 3. Shipped to the Middle East, Europe and the US, a proven design that reorders well — the aesthetic has been validated by actual orders, which lowers the risk of a redesign and makes it easy to extend the series from the existing pattern. 4. 15-25 days, and we recommend approving a sample for the pattern before volume — otherwise a whole batch can be finished before a difference in reading the pattern shows up, and the rework is not worth saving that step.

Overview

A yerba mate cup decorative ring wraps a cup or tumbler and does the job a printed band cannot: it adds weight, a metal edge and a pattern that reads clearly in the hand. The relief runs the whole way around, so there is no start or finish line where the eye can catch it. It is cast in zinc alloy, polished and finished in antique silver, which darkens the recesses and leaves the raised pattern bright.

Typical Applications

Yerba mate cups, vacuum tumblers and promotional drinkware bought by gift and drinkware brands. The same tooling approach is used for a Bag D-Ring Buckle and for other small hardware that has to look consistent across a range. A full cast study of the ring is written up in the embossed zinc die casting case.

Manufacturing Capability

Rings are cast on zinc machines from 88 to 168 tonnes. A pattern that runs the full circumference needs a four-slide mould, and the slider shut-off is held tight enough that the two halves meet without flash or a visible step. Antique silver plating is applied after polishing, with the recess depth controlled at the casting stage because the finish only reads correctly when the relief is deep enough to catch shadow.

Why Work With Xiuhui

Xiuhui has been die casting zinc and aluminum in Dongguan for over 20 years. Decorative drinkware hardware is finished work: the casting has to be good before the plater sees it, and the pattern has to stay sharp after polishing. These rings ship to the Middle East, Europe and North America, so the finish is held to the same standard across repeat orders.
